Declaration of the Establishment of a Free Church
Jesus Encounters is a free church that was created for the purposes of freely worshiping God, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fulfilling the Great Commission of making disciples, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teaching Believers to observe all that Jesus commanded (Mt. 28:19-20). Our purpose is also to equip the Saints for the work of service (Eph. 4:12) and for the strengthening of the Believers through fellowship (Acts 2:42).

Formation of this church (Association of believers) is an “Establishment of Religion,” and the “Free Exercise Thereof.” Therefore it is protected according to the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, which states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Jesus Encounters is a free church, organized as a 508(c)(1)(a) Faith Based Organization (FBO), a religious, non-profit, tax-exempt organization and need not file with the IRS to be exempt from tax or for offerings to be “tax deductible” according to Title 26 (Federal Tax Code) and IRS publications.

Jesus Encounters is overseen by the founding pastors (Qualifications in accordance with Ephesians 4:7-11, Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, 2 Timothy 2:2 and 1 Timothy 3:1-10), and with the help of a leadership team of at least five people from within the church. The leadership team is selected by the founding pastors, with oversight from the congregation, through a process of prayer and evaluation of their qualifications (In accordance with Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, 2 Timothy 2:2 and 1 Timothy 3:1-10).
